Norwegian Buhund

The Norwegian Buhund is a spitz type, and bears a strong resemblance to the Iceland Dog. In Norway, it is used as a guard and farm dog, for herding cattle, sheep, and ponies, and is one of that country's national dogs.

Coat: Close, harsh, and smooth, with a soft woolly undercoat.

Color: Whcatcn, black, red, or wolf-sable; small symmetrical white markings permissible; black mask.

Features: Light head, br0ad between the cars; cars set on high; stron" sjlort body; short, thick tail set high anc} carricd tightly curled over back.

Size: Height: dogs about 17 - 18 in, bitches smaller. Weight: 26 - 40 lb.

Care: Needs a fair amount of cxcrcisc, and daily brushing and combine.

Character: A natural hebdcr it is a gentle, friendly dog, and a l-ejjaDje playmate for children.
