Norfolk Terrier

Originally classified as a Norwich Terrier, both dogs were probably a mixture of Cairn, Border, and Irish Terriers.The only difference between the Norfolk and Norwich Terriers today is their ears: the cars of the Norfolk arc flat and fold forward, while those of the Norwich arc upright.

Coat: Hard, wiry, and straight.

Color;All shades of red, wheaten, black, and tan, or grizzle; white marks and patches undesirable but permissible.

Features: Broad skull; deep-set, oval-shape eyes; medium-size, V-shape ears, slightly rounded at tip; compact body; tail-docking optional.

Size: Height at withers: 10 in. Weight: about 11-12 lb.

Care: Requires daily brushing, and some trimming if it is to be exhibited.

Character: Sociable, hardy, and lovable, it is certainly alert and fearless, but good with children. Has an equable temperament and makes a line household pet.
