Hounds Dog Group - Ibizan Hound

The Ibizan Hound is native to Ibiza, one of the Spanish Balearic Isles, and is descended from ancient Egyptian hunting dogs.

Coat: Smooth or rough: hard, close, dense.

Color: Solid white, chestnut, or lion, or any combination of these.

Freatures: Long, fine head; Hat skull with prominent occipital bone; clear amber, expressive eyes; large, thin, stiff, highly mobile cars; level back; thin tail set on low.

Size: Height at withers: dogs 23½-27½ in , bitches 22½-26 in. Weight: dogs 50 lb, bitches 45 lb.

Care: Needs a lot of exercise; coat needs daily brushing.

Character: Kindly, good with children, rarely fights, and makes a fine gundog or housepet. It has acute hearing, so musl unn be shouted at.
