![]() The Bedlington may look like a lamb, but its past record ranges from poaching to pit fighting. It is believed that the Greyhound or Whijjpet played a part in its ancestry. Coat: Thick and linty. Color: Blue, liver, or sandy, with or without tan; darker pigment to be encouraged; blues, and blue and tans must have black noses; livers and sandies must have brown noses. Features: Narrow skull; small, bright, deep-set eyes; moderate-size, filbert-shape cars; muscular body; moderate-length tail, thick at root and tapering to a point. Size: Height at withers: dogs 16-17½ in, bitches 15-16½ in. Weight: 18-22 lb. Care: Needs space, enjoys average exercise, and coat needs regular trimming. Character: Lovable, full of fun, and a terror when provoked. Easy to train and adores children.
