Anglo-French Hounds

As its name suggests, the Anglo-French came about through crossings between French medium-size hounds and English hounds. There is also a Great Anglo-French Hound and a Small Anglo-French. The Anglo-French Tricolor is one of the most popular hounds in France. They arc usually kept in packs, and used to hunt large and small game.

Coat: Short and smooth.

Color: Anglo-French Tricolor-black, white, and orange: white and black; white and orange. Great Anglo-French As for Anglo-French. Small Anglo-French Usually tricolor-black, white, and orange; may have black saddle covering upper torso and back.

Features: Anglo-French Head moderate in size in relation to body; dark eyes; pendulous cars; tail carried low. Great Anglo-French Kindly eyes; large, hound-like ears; large, big-boned body; tail carried low. Small Anglo-French As for Anglo-French.

Size: Anglo-French Height: 20 in. Weight: 49-55 lb. Great Anglo-French Height at withers: 24-27 in. Weight: 66-71 lb. Small Anglo-French Height: 19-22 in.

Care: By professional hunt staff. Character Robust and good-natured hounds, usually kept as one of a pack.
