Bulldog Training
English Bulldogs are intelligent and wonderful creatures. But honestly, they are not very obedient for the training sessions so you need to have special techniques and a lot of patience to train them. First of all, you need to establish a good rapport with your Bulldog adult or puppy. They do not tolerate violent or aggressive behavior with them. You can give them some food reward in order to encourage them. You need to be consistent in your training.
Here are some tips for the efficient Bulldog training: Bulldogs can achieve a high standard of obedience training, if they are taught in a nice and tricky way. Bulldogs have good grasping capacity of things and they respond well with the surrounding activities. But on the other hand, they are also very lazy and comfort seeking creatures who love being inactive and mostly lying on the sofa. You need to provide them with small exercises in your training to make them physically active. You can also take them for a small walk to stay them fit. Bulldogs tend to get tired very easily. Their physical construction of the body doesn’t allow them heavy training. So you should provide them small training sessions over regular intervals instead of giving one long tiring training session. One important aspect which needs to be considered during the training is their personality. Bulldogs are dominant creatures by nature. So you need to have strong control on them. But that doesn’t mean that you can hit them for not doing the correct thing. Never punish your Bulldog, neither mistreats it. Your act might make them furious and you will end up with a chaos. You should not chain your Bulldog also outside. So you need to be firm with them controlling your aggression. While training your bulldog, you need to train them proper socialization. This is very essential because generally Bulldogs don’t get along well with strangers and other pets like cats. If someone provokes them, they become very aggressive. They are also very food possessive and create obnoxious problems if they feel that there is obstruction in their food. Sometimes, this can be dangerous, if there are children around. You need to train them how to be friendly and socialize with strangers. There is a lot of difference between in training an adult Bulldog and training a puppy. Puppies are young and frisky and need a lot of attention and care. But with regular training, you can teach them obedience and socialization. The best time to train a Bulldog is when it comes to your house. You should establish certain house rules for the new comer in the house in order to make him obedient and well-behaved. But if you have a newly owned Bulldog and are unable to provide him with proper training, you can send him for training classes.
